1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute an agreement between Stonewood Partners Ltd., operating as Stonewood BCIN Academy (“Stonewood,” “Academy,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and individuals or organizations accessing or using our educational products, websites, applications, and related services (“Users,” “Students,” or “you”).

These Terms govern the use of our educational services, including practice examinations, video training, question banks, quizzes, mock examinations, study resources, student accounts, AI-assisted learning tools, and other digital educational products.

By registering an account, expressly accepting these Terms, purchasing a product, or accessing services subject to these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.

Where applicable law requires an express opportunity to review and accept contractual terms, Stonewood will provide that opportunity.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable product-specific policies.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not register for or purchase our services.

2. Nature of Educational Services

Stonewood BCIN Academy provides independent educational resources designed to assist individuals preparing for Ontario Building Code and Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) examinations.

Our products and services may include:

Online examination-preparation courses.
Multiple-choice and scenario-based practice questions.
Module quizzes and full-length mock examinations.
Video training and recorded educational lessons.
Answer explanations and Building Code references.
Initial knowledge assessments and progress tracking.
Educational performance reports and benchmarks.
Study guides and downloadable resources.
AI-assisted tutoring and educational technologies.
Corporate, institutional, and employer-sponsored training.
Community learning, gamification, and other educational features.

Stonewood may introduce, modify, or discontinue particular offerings in accordance with these Terms, applicable purchase commitments, and applicable law.

Stonewood is an independent educational provider. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Government of Ontario, or any official BCIN examination authority.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

Users must be at least 18 years old to register for or purchase Stonewood's educational services.

When registering, you agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account, and use the services only for lawful purposes.

Unless otherwise expressly authorized:

Accounts are restricted to individual use.
Login credentials may not be shared, sold, transferred, or sublicensed.
Purchased access may not be assigned to another person.
Users may not impersonate others or provide fraudulent registration information.

You are responsible for taking reasonable precautions to protect your login credentials and notifying Stonewood if you suspect unauthorized account access.

4. Websites, Technology Platforms and Service Providers

Stonewood may provide educational and administrative services through multiple digital platforms.

These currently include:

Stonewood may engage third-party service providers for hosting, course delivery, assessments, analytics, customer relationship management, email and SMS communications, payment processing, security, customer support, artificial intelligence, and related business functions.

Stonewood may add, replace, integrate, or migrate technology providers as operational requirements evolve, subject to applicable contractual, privacy, and consumer protection obligations.

Personal information may be processed by authorized service providers acting on Stonewood's behalf, including providers operating outside Canada.

Such processing is subject to the purposes, safeguards, disclosures, and applicable consent requirements described in our Privacy Policy.

A service provider's processing on Stonewood's behalf does not automatically authorize that provider to use student information for its independent advertising, profiling, or AI model training.

5. Product Purchases, Payments and Refunds

5.1 Pricing and Payment

All prices, product descriptions, included features, access periods, and applicable purchase conditions are displayed on the relevant product page or during checkout.

Applicable taxes may be charged in addition to advertised prices unless otherwise indicated.

Purchases are subject to successful payment authorization and any applicable fraud or security screening.

5.2 Digital Product Purchases

Stonewood provides digital educational materials that are generally accessible after successful payment and account activation.

Because access to digital content is provided promptly, purchases are generally final and non-refundable, except where a refund, cancellation, credit, or other remedy is required by applicable law or expressly provided under an applicable Stonewood policy.

The availability of digital content immediately after purchase does not eliminate mandatory consumer rights.

5.3 Stonewood Pass Assurance

Certain eligible products may qualify for additional access or partial refunds under the separately published Stonewood Pass Assurance Policy.

The eligibility requirements, benefits, limitations, claim procedures, and other conditions of that program are governed by its dedicated policy.

Only products expressly identified as eligible under that policy qualify for its benefits.

Where a product-specific policy applies, its terms govern the particular benefit or offering, subject to applicable law.

5.4 Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts mandatory cancellation, refund, disclosure, or other consumer protection rights.

Stonewood will provide required pre-purchase information, confirmation of applicable internet agreements, and opportunities to review and correct purchase information as required by law.

6. Course Access, Licensing and Duration

A purchase grants the registered user a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the applicable educational product during the access period specified at purchase.

Access duration, content inclusions, examination attempts, and available features may vary by product.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

Access expires at the end of the purchased period.
Unused access does not automatically extend the expiry date.
Expired access may require a new purchase or renewal.
Courses and accounts may not be transferred or resold.
Additional training or new products are not automatically included in an existing purchase.

Stonewood may offer promotional extensions, additional resources, upgrades, or other benefits under separately applicable terms.

We may update course materials for accuracy, functionality, or educational improvement, but will not use this provision to avoid obligations concerning material benefits already purchased.

7. Free Quizzes and Promotional Access

Stonewood may offer free sample quizzes, trials, demonstrations, limited-access resources, and promotional educational content.

These materials are intended to introduce prospective students to selected aspects of the educational platform.

Free content may differ from paid products in scope, difficulty, question volume, features, support, or access duration.

Stonewood may change or discontinue free offerings, subject to applicable law and existing commitments.

8. No Guarantee of Examination Success

Stonewood provides educational preparation resources only.

We do not guarantee:

Success on an official BCIN examination.
Any specific examination score.
Professional registration or qualification.
Employment, promotion, or licensing.
Increased income or business opportunities.
Acceptance of any educational material by a government authority.

Official examination outcomes depend on factors beyond Stonewood's control.

Practice examination questions may differ from official questions in format, difficulty, subject coverage, and interpretation.

Students remain responsible for consulting authoritative legislation, regulations, examination information, and official Building Code documents.

Our educational resources do not constitute official interpretations, professional engineering or architectural advice, or legal advice.

9. Learning Assessment Data and Core Educational Analytics

9.1 Assessment Functionality

Stonewood's educational services may generate and process assessment information necessary to deliver quizzes, calculate results, maintain learning history, and provide educational feedback.

Depending on available course features, relevant records may include:

Questions presented and responses submitted.
Correct, incorrect, and unanswered responses.
Initial and subsequent assessment scores.
Question attempts and answer revisions.
Assessment start and completion records.
Course enrollment and completion status.
Topic-level educational performance.
Time spent on questions or modules, where measured.
Interactions with explanations and study resources.
Learning progress and recommendation history.

Where this information is reasonably necessary to deliver the purchased educational functionality, it forms part of the service.

9.2 Learning Improvement and Question-Bank Analytics

Stonewood may analyze lawfully collected learning information to:

Assess question difficulty and educational effectiveness.
Identify common errors and frequently missed topics.
Evaluate question discrimination and answer patterns.
Detect potentially ambiguous or inaccurate questions.
Improve explanations, study resources, and teaching methods.
Calibrate mock examination difficulty.
Develop personalized learning recommendations.
Evaluate course participation and completion.
Improve existing products and develop new educational features.

Stonewood may use internal student identifiers instead of names or email addresses for appropriate analytics purposes.

Such identifiers do not remove privacy obligations where the associated information remains linkable to an identifiable person.

9.3 Additional Behavioral Monitoring

Additional monitoring, such as detailed clickstream analysis, session recordings, advertising-related tracking, or experimental behavioural analysis, will be evaluated separately from information necessary to provide purchased educational functions.

Such activities will be undertaken only where appropriate, proportionate, disclosed, and lawfully authorized.

Acceptance of these Terms does not automatically make every possible form of behavioural monitoring a mandatory condition of service.

10. Student Benchmarking and Performance Comparisons

Stonewood may provide educational benchmarking tools that compare a student's assessment results with appropriately aggregated results from other learners.

Benchmarks may include:

Average assessment scores.
Relative performance against comparable student groups.
Commonly missed questions and subjects.
Topic-level proficiency indicators.
Progress across multiple practice examinations.
Course completion and participation statistics.

Stonewood may consider examination category, assessment type, question difficulty, and other relevant factors when preparing comparisons.

Benchmarks are educational indicators, not official examination predictions.

Assessments may differ in length, difficulty, topic coverage, and exposure to previously encountered questions.

Stonewood may update or correct benchmark calculations when additional data becomes available or errors are discovered.

11. Aggregated, Anonymized and Derived Educational Data

11.1 Creation of Derived Information

Stonewood may create aggregated statistics, anonymized datasets, analytical findings, educational benchmarks, and other derived information from data lawfully collected through its services.

Such information may be developed from assessment results, question-level performance, course participation, educational interactions, and other legitimate educational or operational data sources.

11.2 Anonymity Requirements

For the purposes of this section, anonymous information means information processed so that an individual is no longer reasonably identifiable, whether directly or through reasonably foreseeable linkage with other available information.

Removing a name, replacing it with a student code, hashing a direct identifier, or combining several records does not necessarily make information anonymous.

Stonewood will apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards and consider re-identification risks when creating or disclosing anonymous datasets.

Information that remains reasonably linkable to an individual will continue to be protected as personal information where applicable law requires.

11.3 Use and Commercialization of Anonymous Data

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stonewood may retain, use, analyze, reproduce, publish, distribute, license, sell, and otherwise commercialize genuinely anonymous datasets and derived statistical information for lawful business purposes.

These purposes may include:

Educational research and industry publications.
Statistical reporting and benchmarking.
Product development and instructional improvement.
Advertising and marketing research.
Substantiation of educational performance claims.
Corporate and institutional training insights.
Business intelligence and market analysis.
Commercial research collaborations.
Development of proprietary algorithms and analytical products.
Artificial intelligence and machine-learning development.
Licensing of anonymous reports, benchmarks, and insights.
Other lawful educational or commercial activities involving genuinely anonymous information.

Where legally permissible, Stonewood may retain and continue using genuinely anonymous outputs following the expiry of a course, closure of an account, or withdrawal of consent relating to identifiable processing.

These rights may continue without a predetermined expiration date, subject to applicable law, legitimate third-party rights, and continuing safeguards against re-identification.

No additional compensation is owed to individual students solely because their lawfully processed information contributed to genuinely anonymous statistical outputs, except where otherwise required by law or agreement.

This provision does not authorize the sale of identifiable student information or the commercialization of data that remains personal information without an appropriate legal basis.

12. Educational Research, Statistical Publications and Promotional Claims

Stonewood may conduct educational research and publish statistical findings derived from lawfully obtained information.

These publications may include:

Examination-preparation trends.
Commonly challenging Ontario Building Code topics.
Average practice examination scores.
Question-bank performance indicators.
Course participation and completion statistics.
Comparisons between initial and later assessment scores.
Educational research summaries and reports.

Research and statistical findings may be used on Stonewood's websites, course product pages, blogs, advertisements, social media, promotional materials, and industry publications.

Where published, statistical claims will be based on relevant supporting records and presented with appropriate qualifications.

Stonewood will not knowingly misrepresent practice examination results as official BCIN examination outcomes.

Where material to understanding a claim, reports may disclose sample sizes, participation rates, reporting periods, assessment differences, and methodological limitations.

Stonewood may revise or withdraw statistics where necessary to address errors or maintain accuracy.

13. Public Student Progress Records and Learning Outcomes

Stonewood may publish individual learning progression examples under non-identifying student labels, such as “Student 028,” where the information has been genuinely anonymized or the required publication authorization has been obtained.

A student progress record may describe assessment stages, practice scores, educational milestones, or changes in learning performance.

Stonewood will not assume that replacing a student's name with a code makes an individual score history anonymous.

Before publication, Stonewood will apply appropriate safeguards against direct or indirect identification, including consideration of unusual score combinations, course details, cohort size, timestamps, and other available information.

Where the record remains personal information, Stonewood will obtain any necessary separate consent before publication.

Stonewood may also publish genuinely anonymous aggregate student statistics without presenting identifiable individual histories.

Public learning records are not official examination pass results and do not guarantee future examination success.

14. Artificial Intelligence and Machine-Learning Development

14.1 Educational Technology Development

Stonewood may develop, operate, evaluate, improve, license, and commercialize artificial intelligence systems, machine-learning models, and other educational technologies.

Such technologies may include AI-powered tutors, adaptive assessments, automated explanations, educational recommendation systems, question-difficulty models, learning analytics, and Building Code study assistants.

14.2 Authorized Training and Development Data

Stonewood may use the following categories of information for appropriate AI research, training, testing, evaluation, and development:

Original educational content owned by Stonewood.
Third-party content used under applicable permissions.
Genuinely anonymous learning datasets.
Aggregated educational performance statistics.
Derived analytical findings and benchmarks.
Other information lawfully available and authorized for the relevant purpose.

Stonewood may use genuinely anonymous information for continued AI and algorithmic improvement where lawful.

14.3 Identifiable Student Information

Where proposed secondary AI training involves identifiable student information, account-linked learning histories, or private educational conversations, Stonewood will determine the applicable legal basis and obtain additional consent where required.

A general acceptance of these Terms does not constitute unrestricted consent to use identifiable information for independent AI model training.

14.4 Third-Party AI Providers

AI features may be supported by external providers.

Stonewood will assess relevant privacy, security, data retention, and provider-training terms before transferring personal information for AI processing.

We will not represent that a provider is prohibited from training on submitted information unless the applicable contractual terms and technical settings support that representation.

14.5 AI Accuracy

AI-generated educational information may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated.

Users should independently verify important technical information against authoritative sources.

Stonewood does not guarantee the accuracy of every AI-generated response.

15. Beta Features and Experimental Educational Tools

Stonewood may introduce beta, experimental, pilot, or early-access educational technologies.

These may include new assessment formats, tutoring systems, personalized learning tools, research features, and other instructional products.

Beta features may be incomplete, contain errors, change during testing, or become unavailable.

Where lawful and appropriately disclosed, Stonewood may analyze relevant beta feature interactions to evaluate functionality, educational usefulness, technical performance, and user experience.

Additional consent will be obtained where required for materially different personal-information uses, including certain secondary AI model-training activities.

Participation in an optional beta feature may be subject to supplemental notices or terms.

16. User-Generated Content, Reviews and Feedback

16.1 Student Contributions

Students may voluntarily submit feedback, comments, suggestions, educational questions, error reports, reviews, or other original content.

Students retain their applicable ownership rights in original submissions.

16.2 Licence to Stonewood

To the extent a student owns or controls the relevant rights, the student grants Stonewood a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, analyze, modify, adapt, and use submitted content for the operation, maintenance, development, and improvement of its educational services.

For non-personal suggestions, technical recommendations, general educational feedback, and other contributions that do not disclose identifiable personal information, this licence may continue perpetually for lawful product-development and commercial purposes.

Stonewood may incorporate appropriate feedback and suggestions into existing or future educational products without an obligation to compensate the contributor, unless otherwise agreed.

16.3 Public Content and Promotional Use

Where users intentionally submit content for publication through an identified public feature, Stonewood may display and moderate that content as reasonably necessary to operate that feature.

Stonewood may also use genuinely anonymized feedback and educational observations for lawful research and promotional purposes.

Use of recognizable student names, photographs, identifiable testimonials, private communications, or personal success stories for unrelated advertising will be subject to applicable authorization and consent requirements.

No licence in this section overrides privacy rights or permits unrestricted publication of identifiable personal information.

16.4 Third-Party Rights

Students must not submit content they do not have the right to use or authorize Stonewood to use.

Stonewood may remove content that infringes rights, violates applicable laws, or breaches platform rules.

17. Gamification, Leaderboards and Community Features

Stonewood may introduce optional gamification and community features, including:

Leaderboards and competitive rankings.
Course achievement badges.
Study streaks and participation milestones.
Student challenges.
Community discussion areas.
Educational competitions and rewards.

Such features may display usernames, pseudonyms, points, badges, participation milestones, or other relevant indicators.

Where information displayed through these features remains identifiable personal information, appropriate notice and any required consent will be obtained.

A pseudonym does not automatically make a student's information anonymous.

Students may be given options to select public display names and manage applicable participation preferences.

Stonewood may modify, moderate, suspend, or discontinue community features in accordance with applicable law.

18. Communications, Marketing and Electronic Messages

18.1 Service Communications

Stonewood may send communications necessary to administer purchased services, including payment confirmations, enrollment instructions, account-security notices, course access information, and customer support messages.

18.2 Commercial Communications

Stonewood may send newsletters, educational tips, course updates, promotional offers, and other commercial electronic communications where permitted by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable laws.

Stonewood may rely on valid express consent, qualifying implied consent, or an applicable statutory exception where the legal requirements are satisfied.

A qualifying existing business relationship may support implied consent for a limited period, depending on the circumstances.

Stonewood will maintain appropriate consent and communication records.

Commercial electronic messages will include applicable sender identification and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism where required.

Withdrawal of marketing consent will not automatically terminate purchased course access.

18.3 SMS and Mobile Messaging

Stonewood may introduce SMS or other mobile communications for educational reminders, account notifications, study resources, and promotional offers.

Marketing messages will be sent only where lawfully authorized.

Where supported, recipients may unsubscribe by replying STOP or using another stated mechanism.

Message frequency may vary and carrier charges may apply.

18.4 Affiliate and Partner Promotions

Stonewood may promote third-party educational products, industry software, professional resources, training, and related services through lawful advertising and communication channels.

Some arrangements may involve referral fees, commissions, or sponsored placements.

Material commercial relationships will be disclosed where required by law.

Stonewood will not provide partners with identifiable contact information for their independent marketing without appropriate authorization.

19. Cookies, Website Analytics and Targeted Advertising

Stonewood may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, analytics services, and similar technologies for lawful website and business purposes.

These may include:

Authentication and account security.
Website functionality and performance.
Educational platform analytics.
Understanding traffic and user engagement.
Campaign attribution and advertising measurement.
Personalization of educational or website experiences.
Remarketing and appropriately authorized behavioural advertising.

Stonewood may use third-party advertising services, including providers such as Meta, Google, or similar platforms, where implemented and lawfully authorized.

These services may support custom audiences, advertising attribution, remarketing, and similar-audience development.

Where authorized, Stonewood may disclose appropriately protected contact identifiers, including hashed email addresses, to an advertising provider for audience matching.

Hashed email addresses used for advertising matching are not necessarily anonymous. Such disclosures remain subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements.

Optional tracking or advertising practices will be supported by appropriate notices and choices where required.

Acceptance of these Terms does not automatically constitute consent to all non-essential tracking or targeted advertising.

Details concerning data collection and privacy controls are provided in our Privacy Policy.

20. Employer-Sponsored, Corporate and Institutional Training

Stonewood may provide educational services through corporate licensing, group enrollment, institutional subscriptions, employer-sponsored programs, and customized training arrangements.

Corporate programs may include:

Group enrollment and account administration.
Organization-level course participation reporting.
Course completion and training-status reporting.
Aggregated educational analytics.
Approved individual student progress reports.
Assessment reporting.
Customized training and educational benchmarks.

A sponsoring organization may receive information reasonably necessary to administer the purchased corporate program, subject to applicable law and the relevant contractual arrangements.

Where a sponsor requests individual student assessment scores, identifiable learning histories, or other personal performance information, Stonewood will provide appropriate advance disclosure of the recipients, information categories, and purposes.

Such disclosure will occur only where supported by applicable law and any required authorization or consent.

Employer payment for a course does not, by itself, establish unrestricted access to an employee's personal educational records.

Additional corporate terms may govern licensing, administration, authorized reporting, confidentiality, and institutional responsibilities.

21. Intellectual Property and Educational Content Protection

Stonewood-owned educational materials, questions, explanations, course structures, videos, software elements, branding, and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except where expressly authorized or permitted by law, users may not:

Copy, reproduce, or republish substantial course content.
Resell or distribute questions, explanations, or videos.
Share purchased materials with unauthorized users.
Systematically download or extract question banks.
Scrape or harvest content using automated methods.
Circumvent technical access controls.
Use protected course materials to train third-party AI models without authorization.
Misrepresent Stonewood materials as their own.
Commercially exploit course resources beyond the licence granted.

Stonewood retains all applicable rights in its proprietary content, subject to third-party intellectual property rights and statutory exceptions.

22. Security Monitoring and Prevention of Platform Misuse

Stonewood may implement proportionate technical and administrative measures to protect its services, accounts, assessment integrity, and intellectual property.

Where lawful and appropriately disclosed, security measures may include analyzing:

Account login and access activity.
Suspicious authentication patterns.
Unusual volumes of question retrieval.
Potential automated scraping.
Unauthorized sharing or redistribution.
Attempts to bypass security controls.
Fraudulent purchasing or account activity.
Technical events affecting platform integrity.

Stonewood may investigate suspected misuse and retain relevant evidence for an appropriate period where reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, or lawful enforcement.

Security monitoring will remain subject to applicable privacy safeguards and retention requirements.

23. Accuracy, Corrections and Historical Assessment Records

Stonewood may maintain assessment records, question versions, scoring methods, and other relevant educational information for legitimate reporting, quality assurance, student support, and dispute resolution.

Where a question, explanation, or scoring error is identified, Stonewood may revise the content and correct, recalculate, or annotate affected assessment results.

Original attempt histories may be preserved where a lawful retention purpose exists.

Stonewood may revise previously published statistics to correct inaccuracies or reflect improved reporting methods.

Assessment records and historical score comparisons remain subject to our Privacy Policy.

24. Account Suspension and Termination

Stonewood may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

Material breaches of these Terms.
Unauthorized account sharing.
Fraud or suspected fraudulent transactions.
Intellectual property infringement.
Security threats.
Automated scraping or interference.
Unlawful or abusive activity.
Other serious misuse of the platform.

Where appropriate, Stonewood may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Immediate action may be taken where reasonably necessary to prevent harm, ongoing misuse, or security compromise.

Termination will not eliminate mandatory consumer rights or remedies.

25. Platform Availability and Changes

Stonewood makes reasonable efforts to provide reliable educational services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Temporary interruptions may result from maintenance, technical failures, service-provider issues, security incidents, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Stonewood may update or replace software, content, instructional features, service providers, and delivery methods.

Any material changes affecting existing purchases will be managed in accordance with applicable contractual obligations and consumer protection laws.

26. Privacy, Consent and Retention

The collection, use, disclosure, retention, protection, and anonymization of personal information are governed by our separately published Privacy Policy.

Stonewood may retain records needed for lawful operational, financial, educational, security, or compliance purposes.

When information is no longer required in identifiable form, it may be deleted, securely destroyed, or effectively anonymized in accordance with applicable law and established retention practices.

Genuinely anonymous information may be retained and used for lawful statistical, educational, and commercial purposes.

Information that remains identifiable or reasonably linkable to an individual continues to receive the protections required by applicable law.

Users may exercise applicable privacy rights, including access, correction, and withdrawal of consent, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of these Terms does not waive statutory privacy rights or authorize unlimited secondary processing of personal information.

27. Additional Product Policies

Certain products, promotions, subscriptions, corporate offerings, or educational programs may be subject to separate published policies.

The detailed conditions of those offerings are maintained in their respective policies rather than repeated in these general Terms.

Where a specific policy was incorporated into a purchase, it governs the relevant offering to the extent applicable.

Stonewood may update separate policies prospectively, but will not retroactively remove material contractual benefits except where permitted by law.

28. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Stonewood provides independent educational services intended to assist examination preparation.

Although reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate and useful materials, Stonewood does not warrant that its services will meet every individual learning requirement or that all educational content will remain continuously current or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stonewood excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from use of its educational services, including loss of anticipated income, employment opportunities, business opportunities, or professional advancement.

Stonewood is not responsible for decisions made by official examination authorities or other independent organizations.

Where permitted by law, Stonewood's aggregate contractual liability relating to a particular purchased service will not exceed the amount paid by the claimant for that affected service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, including to liabilities or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights or remedies.

29. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to indemnify Stonewood Partners Ltd. against reasonable third-party claims and directly resulting losses arising from the user's unlawful conduct, unauthorized commercial exploitation of educational materials, infringement of third-party rights, or material misuse of the platform.

This provision does not apply to losses caused by Stonewood's own unlawful conduct or where indemnification is prohibited by applicable law.

30. Government Materials and Third-Party Intellectual Property

Stonewood BCIN Academy is not associated with or endorsed by the Government of Ontario or any official BCIN examination authority.

References to legislation, regulations, the Ontario Building Code, standards, and government publications are provided for educational purposes.

Applicable government and third-party materials remain subject to their respective copyright, licensing, attribution, and permitted-use requirements.

Stonewood does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property.

Users should consult official sources for current regulatory and examination requirements.

31. Changes to These Terms

Stonewood may update these Terms to reflect changes in applicable law, educational offerings, business operations, technologies, or platform requirements.

The current Terms will be published on our website with an effective or last-updated date.

Where legally required, we will provide additional notice or obtain renewed agreement before material changes become binding.

Changes will generally apply prospectively.

Continued platform use will not be treated as sufficient acceptance where applicable law requires an affirmative agreement or other specific process.

32. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Disputes will be addressed in accordance with applicable laws and through courts or other processes having lawful jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms prevents users from exercising mandatory consumer protection rights, privacy rights, or other non-waivable legal remedies.

33. Severability and Interpretation

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be restricted or severed to the extent required by applicable law.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent legally enforceable.

Headings are provided for convenience and do not independently expand or restrict the meaning of these Terms.

34. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable purchase-specific policies, constitute the general contractual framework governing Stonewood BCIN Academy's educational services.

Where a separate product policy expressly applies, it governs the applicable product or benefit, subject to mandatory legal requirements.

No provision of these Terms should be interpreted as overriding applicable consumer protection, privacy, intellectual property, or other mandatory legal obligations.
